Ben Schaefer is a baritone from Clive, Iowa. He is currently finishing his Master of Music at The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. This summer he will be joining the Glimmerglass Festival where he will perform the role of Fiorello and cover the title character in a new production of Il barbiere di Siviglia as well as sing the First French Soldier and cover Lieutenant Audebert in Kevin Puts and Mark Campbell’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera, Silent Night.
